The Arts Center
Having worked for almost six years in an arts education center that was too cramped (both in space and creative leadership), we have designed our arts center to be open, spacious, and beautiful. I was going to also say "calm," but really, with kids and adult artists running all over the place, I don't know how calm it will be. It will, however, be filled with laughter, and that is so much better. The arts center itself will feature two large design studios, which can be divided into four smaller studios as needed, a large ceramic studio that combines both thrown and sculptural work in one half and hobby ceramics in the other half, a nicely-complimented darkroom, and two outdoor design patios for artists to use on nice days and for small musical or reading programs. Adjoining the arts center will be a gift shop and gallery where artists may display and sell their work.
